Why do you focus on Web content?

Writing for the Web is a highly specialized genre of writing that combines marketing knowledge with a deep understanding of the Internet’s unique culture, mind-set, psychology and language. Online audiences are like no other; however, the content on 80% of the Web has yet to acknowledge this.

The reality is this: most Websites desperately hunger for better content– but few copywriters really know how to write that content. So that’s my mission: to make the Web a more reader-friendly environment.

How do I hire you?

Call me at (920)369-6229 or email me at kat@katwritescopy.com and I’ll get back to you within three hours. Guaranteed. Three hours. You’ll receive a firm quote and answers to your questions. Once you OK my estimate, we then agree on the parameters of your project, the deadline and other specifics. As soon as I receive your signature, I’m off to work on your project, you get back to work, and everybody’s happy.

What are your fees and contract terms?

I work by the project or by the hour, whatever is best for you and your project. Contact me for hourly rates. For brand new clients and jobs over $2000, I require 1/3 up-front as a deposit. My copywriting services are guaranteed. If you are not satisfied, I will re-write the copy- at my expense- until you are satisfied.

Are you available for meetings? How much contact do I have with you during a project?

Many of my clients remain faceless, working solely through e-mail and phone, but I am available to attend meetings, brainstorming sessions, interviews and creative reviews in person or through teleconferencing. I’m also available to run focus groups, conduct interviews and attend commercial, video, and radio recordings.

For whom have you written?

I have worked with the biggest and smallest; from America Online to one-person consultancies. I’ve written recruitment ads, product ads, seasonal fundraising letters, postcard, direct mail packages, sales letters, trade show displays, product factsheets, product brochures, and Website content. Check out some of my clients and their projects on my portfolio.

What industries do you have expertise in?

I have worked for and in the following: B2B, retail, food, biotech, IT staffing, healthcare, social services, education, nonprofit, recruitment, professional services, automotive and entertainment.

How fast can I get copy from you? What about rush orders?

Everyone has emergencies, and I will absolutely accommodate yours. I reserve the right to charge additional “rush fees” of at least 25% of total project cost for jobs with deadlines of 48 hours or less, and at least 50% for jobs assigned on Thursday/Friday and due on Monday/Tuesday.

There are a ton of freelance copywriters out there. Why spend my money on you?

How many copywriters truly understand what’s going on in your reader’s mind? Or can perceive your customer’s private motivators and desires? That stuff ‘s best left to a psychotherapist, right? Right. As a professional copywriter who is a Master’s-level licensed therapist, I know how to write copy your reader will intuitively understand, words to entice your customers to act. I distill my knowledge of consumer psychology and individual psychodynamics into the form of powerful ad copy that sells. Isn’t that precisely what you need in a copywriter?
